On my hunt for Zentangle supplies, I hit Michael's craft store. They didn't have  much. But they did of course have the Micron pens, so I bought three black ones in different thickness levels. I did manage to find a packet of card stock tiles in different colors also. Kinda like Zentangle Tiles. They are nice and thick and actually pretty nice to swirl on with the Micron pens. The cardstock square below is a very pretty pale blue with a slight shimmer to it which you can't see in the photo. It made me think of a sky, so it was calling for some stars.

I then wandered over to Barnes and Nobles and found this nifty Cachet Earthbound Sketch book and the Joy of Zentangle book. Love it!

Already Hooked

I spent way too much time googling as much as could Zentangle and doodling and patterning. I searched as many images as I could. I was hooked.

Christmas was around the corner and I found myself doodling holiday themed patterns on neon green post-it notes and scrap paper at the office.

I was at work, so I was a bit rushed. I cut up hanging file folders to make some name tags for holiday gifts.  I was using some gel pens that we have in supply at work. I LOVE the Angel Fish tangle and the Zingers, so I included them.

So after work, I was on a mission to buy some decent pens, paper, and maybe a Zantangle book.

Zentangle Discovery

Okay, it is finally letting me start a new blog. Tangled Moments would not go through, so Ink and Lead is the name. Sounds kinda like an auto body shop blog, though.

I will start with some of my first tangles and scribbles.  I was browsing Etsy for some necklaces and came across a Zentangle kit for sale. ??  I was curious. I liked it. I googled it. And scribbled some tangles on a post-it note while at work.

First tangle on a post it note at work.
